Y-Guides Braves and Princesses transition to Y-Guides Trailblazers automatically once they enter their 4th year in the program.  It is important to recognize that children age eight to nine are capable of participating in more challenging activities due to their physical, social and emotional growth compared to our younger Braves & Princesses.
 
Some Federation events are designated as “Trailblazer” events to offer the additional challenge for this age group. However, Federation events are designed to be appropriate for children of all ages so Trailblazers tribes are welcome to participate in other Federation events, as appropriate.

Y-Guides Trailblazers events may include:

• Adventure longhouse with caving, canoeing, or biking the Virginia Creeper Trail
• Three day trip to Washington, DC
• Princess Date Night dinner cruise on Lake Norman

Prior participation in the Y-Guides program is not required.
